Our Mission

We work with managers to design projects for a variety of needs including measuring economic benefits, minimizing costs and risks, and optimizing program design. We use a diverse set of tools, including spatial data (GIS) analysis, trend analysis, and expert elicitation via interviews and workshops, to provide insights and compare alternative actions. A specialty is creating performance metrics, using available data, in order to quantify ecosystem service values of environmental management in monetary and non-monetary terms. We use rigorous integration of ecological and economic tools to support evidence-based decision making.
